Mexican "Caballito" Peso Major Variety Set, Circulation Strikes (1910-1914)

In 1910, the Mexican Revolution produced not only a new government, but a new, more beautiful Peso coin, as well. The new Peso featured a female figure riding a horse with the rays of the sun shining behind. The reverse displays the Mexican eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its beak. Varieties include the Short and Long Rays of 1911 (relating to the lowest ray on the left side) and the 1913/2 overdate. Collectors will have no difficulty locating nice examples of any of the dates and varieties with the exception of the 1914, which is very rare in all grades.
