In 1967, Al C. Overton published his "Early Half Dollar Die Varieties 1794-1836", the impetus for one of the most active collecting areas in U.S. numismatics. If you like this series, this alternate set allows collectors to obtain one representative for each of the "master" Overton numbers. For this set, you may enter "whole" Overton numbers (i.e. O-105 with no die state suffix, die states (Overton numbers with an "a" or "b" suffix), and even generic PCGS coins where the major die variety represents a single Overton number (i.e 1796 15 Stars = Overton 101). Simply enter your cert numbers into your inventory system and the PCGS Set Registry will automatically populate your set. Have fun with this big, bold, and beautiful set!
