Current Finest Possible Set Rating

68.100
The 1835 Mint Set would mark the last appearance of the Half Cent until 1849. It would also mark the beginning of the transitional head styles which over the next four years, would transform the cent from the older "Coronet" or "Matron" style to the "Braided Hair" style which would run from 1839 to 1857. The Capped Bust silver coinage consisted of a Half Dime, Dime, Quarter and Half, and mintages of all were very high for the period allowing for completion of this set with relative ease. Only those seeking the very highest graded pieces will encounter any financial obstacles.

Notes: This set has bonuses. Please see the Set Composition for a listing.
