The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations is dedicated to fight for the production of more food for the poorest countries. It's three main goals are the eradication of hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition, the elimination of poverty and the driving forward of economic and social progress for all, and, the sustainable management and utilization of natural resources, including land, water, air, climate and genetic resources for the benefit of present and future generations. Beginning in 1968, ten countries began minting coins to celebrate the F.A.O.. Today there are over 1,600 coins issued by about 140 nations around the world. Most coins are low denominations in base metals issued for general circulation, however, some silver and gold issues were also struck. In addition, some piedforts and patterns exist.

Notes: This set allows coins in either MS, PL, SP and PR condition to fill the date slot. The set is a work in progress. As new coins are issued, they may be added to the composite.
