1880 CC Mintage 591,000 GSA 131,529. Observations: Strike varies average to strong with some weaker centers and eagle. Luster mostly bright and frosty. Can have a varied look and with the reverse of 78. Multiple overdates. Prooflike - often hazy mirrors. Clear PL cameos are desirable.

1882 CC Mintage 1,133,000 GSA 605,029. Observations: Strike varies strong to average with some weaker centers and eagle. Luster is mostly bright and frosty. The typical nice CC look. Prooflike - average plus mirrors but good cameo.
1889 CC Mintage 350,000 GSA 1 Observations: Strike strong and bold. Luster varies but is muted compared to earlier CC's. The rarest of the CC Morgan's. Less eye appealing than in earlier 80's. Prooflike - A high percentage of pop. are PL. Generally good mirrors but less cameo than earlier CC's.
1890 CC Mintage 2,309,041 GSA 3949. Observations: Strike mostly strong but some with light high point weakness. Luster varies bright to adequate. The highest mintage CC Morgan but is less common than the earlier 80's which might be due to GSA population. Has a tail bar variety. Prooflike - some deep mirrors with cameo available but many are weaker. Scare in 65 grade.
1891 CC Mintage 1,618,000 GSA 5,687. Observations: Strike is strong to average but mostly full with some general weakness seen. Luster mostly bright and frosty. Most common in higher MS of the 1890's CC. Prooflike - uncommon, average mirrors and less cameo.
