About This Set: The 19 coin set of Carson City mint gold half eagles portion of my registry entry began in 2004 as a result of an ad placed in a major coin publication by Southgate Coins in Reno NV. Southgate's Rusty Goe became my friend, numismatic mentor and collection architect. Just recently (October, 2012) my set became "reborn" thanks to the tireless work of Rusty and the Southgate crew. Now my set has reached a high plateau with all coins superbly displayed in new PCGS edge-view holders, sequentially numbered (26454759 through 26454777) and pedigreed as The Drummer Collection.
I am a life-member of the award winning C4OA (Carson City Coin Collectors of America club - founded by Rusty Goe), and can now display my set with pride at our numerous meetings and events.
My 19 "CC" half eagles can be described as a mid-grade set but none-the-less very well matched. Perhaps as few as 55 to 65 complete sets of these $5 pieces are possible to assemble at any one time.
It is my honor and pleasure to display and present these precious treasures from the Wild West Comstock days and the great "Gilded Age" of American history.
