The first United States dime was issued in 1796 while George Washington was still in office as President. This Draped Bust, Small Eagle type was only issued for two years, followed by the Heraldic Eagle reverse of 1798-1807. The Basic Draped Bust set contains only 10 coins, with the 1804 the only really "better" date in the set.
