This 1796 Large Cent rocks the house! In the 1790s, coins were heavily circulated as everyday money. Most became completely worn down, damaged, or lost. This puppy in FR02 grade somehow survived but its very scarce with an estimated 500 survivors. Only #11 in this grade by PCGS. Pop Higher is only #189, which give you an idea of how scarce this coin really is. This is a coin with a lot of soul.
