1818 1/2 Sov S-3786 MS66 Certification #21474759, PCGS #206574
Owner's Comments
George III gold 1/2 Sovereign 1818 MS66 PCGS, Royal mint, KM673, S-3786. Ex Terner Collection. The single finest graded by either PCGS or NGC, making this is a true conditional rarity. There are absolutely no flaws worthy of mentioning. This coin has been off the open market since it sold in the Terner Collection in Goldberg's 25 (31 May 2004), lot 1239, where it hammered at a mere $1,900. Standing as the single finest graded specimen of the date across both services, this tremendous Gem boasts a great pedigree as well as robust luster shimmering throughout. A golden-orange hue combines with nearly-impeccable surface quality to present a staggering example for any advanced cabinet in British gold issues.
