1826 50C XF40 Certification #60186140, PCGS #6143
Owner's Comments
O-108A, obvious original patina-such a thrill to own an early bustie in this grade! As part of a pure design set, this would serve the capped bust entry as, in this case, the half dime, dime and quarter would be unnecessary.

The 1826 Capped Bust Half is one of the more common dates in the series. There are still hundreds of examples available up to about AU58. However, in Uncirculated grades they become significantly scarcer. And fewer examples remain in MS65 and MS66 condition. In MS67 they are considered rare.
