Breen 6509 (second head, large close date, large 5). Beautiful green gold, dripping with incredible luster. Pics and grade don't indicate it, but this Classic Head 5 is arguably the best coin in my set. CAC'd

Next to the 1834 Plain 4, the 1836 is the most common date of this type. It is available in all grades up to and including average uncirculated but truly choice examples are not particularly common. Many specimens are softly struck on the hair curls around the face.
