Centered Date, removed center dot in rev shield from top right of 2nd vertical stripe, mentioned in Bass II:499. Very nice, EDS, die lines in fields, including over and touching the date.

This and the 1859 are the scarcest Philadelphia Mint quarter eagles of the 1850's. Both dates are underrated and the 1858 is really surprisingly difficult to obtain in choice condition.
