Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872, die number 98, edge milled, 7.98g, 7h (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B), light rim nicks and scuff on neck, otherwise attractively lustrous, a pleasingly bold extremely fine, the reverse virtually 'mint fresh'. Provenance: Spink 223, 26-27 March 2013, lot 931 - £460. Purchased Spink 21124 - Numismatic e-Circular 9, Lot 5870, July 20, 2021.
