1873 T$1 Chopmarked XF45 Certification #08966173, PCGS #87031
Owner's Comments
The 1873-Philadelphia is an extremely difficult Trade Dollars to find chop marked with a straight grade, My prior placeholder was a PCGS Details Grade that I was thankful to have even found. On the obverse are two carefully placed chops one of which is the character 大 ( dà - dài ) translated as big.
Population Total 11, Higher 3, Lower 5.
This coin passed through a prominent Trade Dollar collector and. I am very happy to have it leading off my modest collection having obtained same at a recent auction.
