1880-S $1 MS66 Certification #82265664, PCGS #7118

Owner's Comments

The front of the coin is 3% green arcing around the rim for about 50% of the coin and bleeding onto the surface area from 2 o'clock to 4 o'clock. The rest of the front is comprised of rose golds, yellows, oranges, and red/copper coloration. The back of the coin looks borderline PL with very light yellow gold toning around the rim with 0% green on the back. Even though this coin is the least percentage of green it is currently the highest graded coin in my set at MS66.

The 1880-S Morgan Dollar is one of the most common coins in the series. It is fairly easy to find up to MS66 condition. In MS67 to MS68 they are much scarcer. In MS69 they are considered rare, as few examples exist in this condition or higher.
