1882-S $1 MS 65 PCGS #7140
Owner's Comments
Don't be dissuaded by that ICG holder because if this coin could be "CACed" it would come back with a gold sticker. I would go as far to say that this 1882-S is under graded. The strike, which should be exceptional for this date, goes over and beyond all expectations. The vibrant face of Lady Liberty looks as if she is ready to jump off of the planchet. The rim toning is exceptional and really ties the bow on this specimen. The reverse possesses gorgeous peripheral toning that presents the eagle as a force to be reckoned with. When you see this piece in person I guarantee that it will be love at first sight.
