The 1884-CC is very rare and underrated in all grades. It actually had fewer auction appearances in my survey than the 1883-CC but, in my opinion, it is a little easier to locate in EF or better condition than the 1883-CC. I have seen only a few strictly uncirculated pieces and consider this date to be extremely rare at the mint state level, virtually on a par with the 1881-CC and 1883-CC.
