The population data for the 1901 Barber Quarter is in line with most of the dates from this series, many of which had similar mintages and collector demand.  The majority of certified coins are of the brilliant, non-Cameo version and only about twenty percent of the total population are listed as Cameos.  In this future, the percentage of Cameos will rise as more and more coins come in for re-examination.  Deep Cameo 1901 Quarters are exceptionally rare.

The most frequently-encounted grade for this date is PR63, followed by PR64, indicating that collectors did not pay particular attention to proper storage.  Thus, high grade examples can be quite scarce, desirable, and valuable.
