1903 1C, BN PR66BN Certification #25293397, PCGS #2396

Owner's Comments

This issue is one of the lower proof mintage of the early 1900s, with a recorded mintage of 1,790 pieces, making the issue decidedly elusive at the PR66 grade level, and a prime condition rarity in finer grades, regardless of color designation. A monster two toned Proof Indian with highlights of neon cobalt-blue and lighter fire torch red. Another irony, that such an incredibly--and attractively--colored coin could be called "Brown." This spectacular Premium Gem proof exhibits a Hammer strike design elements throughout with no visible marks. The well-preserved surfaces retain much of their mirror reflection thru the toning. Population: 15 in 66 Brown, 0 finer (3/24)... Larry Shepherd Collection
