Thje 1934-S is the last of the really rare Walkers in mint state condition. It is nearly as rare as the 1933-S and in many ways is more like a pre-1934 "early date" than a 1930s "middle date." The strike for the 1934-S is not as much of a problem as on some of the later S-Mints. Luster can be either frosty or satin-like. A nice 1934-S, when available, can be a great looking Walking Liberty half dollar.
