Owner's Comments
CAC; Heritage Auctions Description (January 2025): Sharp definition spans the design elements, with faint die polish lines in the fields that attest to a very early die state. The bright copper-gold color is original, and neither side has a single notable blemish. A party of one at the top of the Condition Census, the Whispering Pines 1937-S cent surpasses even the most exceptional challengers for finest known. The quality here is simply stunning. It is also the only one of the top-grade specimens with CAC endorsement, leaving no debate regarding its status as the finest of them. Ex: Blay-Whispering Pines.

The 1937-S Lincoln Cent is fairly common for the series. Examples up to MS67 condition are plentiful. However, in MS67+ or higher they are scarce. Overall, collectors can be picky and find nice coins since they were struck well and many examples were preserved in great condition.
