Owner's Comments
War Powers. In 1941, the Japanese Navy launches a surprise attack on the United States fleet at Pearl Harbor, drawing the United States into World War II, and triggering the President's powers as Commander in Chief and Congress's constitutional authority to declare war and mobilize the Nation..

The 1941-D Walking Liberty half dollar is quite available in uncirculated and Gem condition. Starting in 1941, the Denver Mint Walkers were saved in significant quantities. I have seen hundreds of beautiful original rolls of 1941-Ds. The typical specimen is well struck with fantastic white frosty luster. The Denver Mints are somewhat scarcer than the Philadelphia Mints so they sell for a small premium over the Philadelphia Mint "common date" price.
