Postwar Constitutional Leadership. Allied victory in World War II marked the beginning of a new era of American global leadership. In 1945, hostilities end in Europe with the suicide of Adolf Hitler, and in the Pacific after the dropping of the second atomic bomb on Japan. The Constitution's allocation of war powers, treaty authority, and foreign affairs would shape the emerging international order throughout the Cold War.

The 1945 Philadelphia is one of the most common dates in the Walking Liberty half dollar series in all grades except MS67 and MS68. This issue was saved and it comes nice. Strike is not a problem and many very frosty white Gems exist.
