The 1952 Proof Roosevelt Dime has a considerably low mintage of 81,980 coins struck. Although, tens of thousands might not seem as a low mintage, in reality it is for the series. Compare this mintage for example to the mintage of the 1957 Proof Dime with a mintage of over 1 million coins produced.

The 1952 Proof Dime has the third lowest mintage in the Proof Roosevelt Dime series. Only the 1950 and 1951 have lower mintages. In PR60-PR66 they appear to be very common with most examples falling in these grades. In PR67 they are scarce with possibly a few thousand examples known. In PR68 they are very scarce with about 100 examples known. There are less than 5 graded PR69 making it a condition census rarity with none being finer.
