Proof Lincoln cents from 1950- 1958 are amongst some of the most difficult coins to find that display Cameo or Deep Cameo surfaces. The 1952 Proof Lincoln cent is no exception. It is the second toughest coin from 1950 - 1958 to find with Cameo or Deep Cameo surfaces.
The 1952 Proof Lincoln Cent compares to the 1951 in scarcity, as far as Cameo and Deep Cameo surfaces are concerned. However, the 1951 is definitely the most difficult coin with Cameo or Deep Cameo surfaces in the 1950 - 1958 Proof Lincoln Cent series. There are approximately 150 - 175 surviving 1952 Proof Lincoln cents that display Cameo surfaces. With Deep Cameo surfaces, they become even scarcer with possibly no more than 10 examples known.
