1964-D 50C MS67+ Certification #18665627, PCGS #6707
Owner's Comments
SECURE PLUS. From Richard Green. Lucky for me Richard really liked the bright silvery coins. He sold me this "spare" coin because his main coin was the sole MS 68 as featured in the Coin Facts area of the PCGS website. He also sold me his varieties because he didn't collect those, as well as his other "spare" toned coins. He would only use those if he couldn't find a nice bright white coin that was a strong graded coin for the grade. We had hundreds of conversations in those very short years that I got to know him. Featured in Rick Thomaska's book on Franklin and Kennedy half dollars book. PQ coin!!! Started as an MS 67, now it's an MS 67+ coin, WELL deserved of this status!

The 1964-P and D Kennedy Half Dollars were composed of 90% silver, therefore making them a one year type. The following years, or from 1965 to 1970 circulation strike Kennedy Half Dollars were struck in 40% silver.
The 1964-D tends to be better struck than the 1964-P as there is atleast one known example grading up to MS68 condition for the 1964-D.
