PCGS #146024 confirms Bronze composition (3.11g). This is not a zinc issue (billions struck) but a transitional composition rarity. First example certified MS64RD from the Garcia Roll Discovery. Strict anonymity requested for auction listings (to be offered as Property of a Texas Estate / The Garcia Roll Discovery). This coin represents the first certified example, with additional submissions pending.

The U.S. Mint struck over 6 billion 1982-D Lincoln Cents, making this coin very common in most grades. Only in MS67  does it appear to be scarce. Anything grading higher is very scarce to rare.
