1998-P 5C MS67 Certification #03397548, PCGS #4142

Owner's Comments

Large Broadstrike and Struck Through Obverse. When I realized the coin potentially could go in this set, I called PCGS and was told, yes, it could. I leave it here knowing it's probably a technical internal PCGS error, but they have allowed it for over a decade, so I think it will remain. The only pop 1 still a pop 1...

The 1998-P Jefferson Nickel is very easy to obtain in just about any condition. The Mint struck well over 688 million so examples are abundant. Only In MS66 condition are they considered scarce, especially with Full Steps characteristics. In MS67 Full Steps there are very few examples known and probably no higher examples will surface anytime soon.
