2001 $50 Gold Eagle MS69 Certification #71166545, PCGS #9958
Owner's Comments
On the 2nd of August 2024 and using my ELIKLIV microscope and Vantage 10X loupe, I examined this coin and describe it thusly. The Obverse shows a small ding on her forehead, 3 small bright spots just beside foliage and below the "Y" of "LIBERTY", a very small ding on her bicep of her left arm, a small bright spot above her thumb on the torch shaft. I see no toning, spotting, or cloudiness. The Reverse has a small ding on the top of the 2nd "T" of "STATES", 2 bright spots below the foliage and above the "NE" of "FINE", a very small tick just past the wing tip feathers of the flying Eagle and below the "OF",. I see a few slightly darker toning spots to the right of the nesting Eagles and "WE". I see no other toning, spotting, or cloudiness. This is a very nice coin and is held in a PCGS holder Generation 4.1 used from February 2002 to November 2004.
