2003 $50 Gold Eagle MS69 Certification #71497988, PCGS #9968

Owner's Comments

On the 2nd of August 2024 and using my ELIKLIV Microscope and Vantage 10X loupe, I examined this coin and describe it thusly. The Obverse shows a light ding in the left outstretched forearm, 3 dings, stronger in from the left sun ray #6 and almost gone in ray #8 of the left side, and I see no other scratches, marks or dings. I see a darker shade of toning at the rims edge, first at the "T" of "LIBERTY" and moving down clockwise all the way around to the "E" of Liberty" just short of a full circumference. The Reverse has several small dings in the field below the "ES" of "STATES" and 2 more just below and to the right at the wing tip. I see no other scratches, marks, or dings. I see no toning, spotting, or cloudiness. This is a very nice coin & is holdered in a PCGS Generation 4.1 used from February of 2002 to November 2004.
