2005-W $1 Silver Eagle First Strike, DCAM PR70DCAM Certification #73900986, PCGS #899975
Owner's Comments
On the 3rd of October 2026 I examined this coin and using my ELIKLIV microscope and Vantage 10X loupe, I describe it thusly. The Obverse has no scratches, marks, or dings. Much of the raised surface of Liberty and the letters have a light golden tone. I see 1 water spot between the "R" & "T" of "LIBERTY". The Reverse has no scratches, marks, or dings. Much of the raised surface of the Eagle and the letters have a light golden tone. I see 1 water spot on the bottom of the "E" of "UNITED".
This is a very nice coin with the golden toning being very light and needing magnification to see. This coin is held in a PCGS 4.4 generation Flag holder used from November of 2005 and until December of 2011.

The 2005-W Proof Silver Eagle has one of the highest mintages in the series. So it is one of the more common dates in the Proof Eagle series. It is very common in grades of PR68-PR69. It is only somewhat scarcer in PR70 Deep Cameo condition.
