The 2013-W $50 Proof Gold Buffalo was officially released on May 23, 2013. The coins had an original issue price of $1,790. but the prices fluctuated every week depending on the spot price of gold.

This year the U.S. Mint also introduced a special Reverse Proof $50 Gold Buffalo. As a result there were three different  Gold Buffalo coins offered this year. These were the $50 Uncirculated, Proof and Reverse Proof Gold Buffalos.
