1927-S 1C, RD MS65RD Certification #60011204, PCGS #2584
Expert Comments
Ron Guth
The 1927-S is a semi-scarce date that is difficult to find in nice condition, primarily because the strike is so often poor. Full Red examples are not all that rare, but Gems are. Any 1927-S Cent in grades above MS64 is a true condition-rarity. In fact, PCGS has not yet graded a single MS66 or better example -- in any color designation.
