Old Coin Dawg --- Bahamas Dollars

About This Set: When I first started coin collecting all of our large coins were silver. Then after the Kennedy half dollar came out in 1964 the U.S. stopped making 90% silver coins. Most of the coins that I collected up until that time were silver. I began my search for silver coins that I could collect. I found a lot of world coins that were still minted in silver. I started getting all of them that I could afford at that time. The coins that caught my eye were the large $1, $2, $5, & even some $10 coins. That is how this set came about some years later. When I looked at my coins & realized that there was a good base for this set, I started the search to fill in the blanks. I am still working to fill in all of the blanks but that is part of the excitement of building coin sets. I have reached out to many people in my hunt for a certain coin. I have found some of the coins in Canada, The Netherlands, China, Australia, England & other parts of Europe. I have no idea when my search will end, but I know I will keep looking until my set is 100% full of the best coins I can find. I get so excited searching for the coins I need and finally finding them. I have so much enjoyment from this that I want to share this joy with everyone.
