About This Set:
Ever since I sold my original "Malibou Lake Collection", all PCGS AU58 Indian Cents with major varieties set, I've missed one of my favorite United States Coinage series. A wonderful bit of early Western Americana which commenced a few short years prior to our Civil War, and ended less than a decade before World War One. A lot was happening during these years, not to mention the celebration of our Nation's Centennial!
Why PCGS is so excruciatingly conservative with grading Indian Cents is a mystery?? They have only graded 36 coins in the Pr01 grade in the entire series! Compare other series number of coins graded Pr01; Barber Quarters 154, Liberty Nickels 108, Seated Liberty Halves over 300, and Morgan Dollars 756!! Is it bias, inexperience, or just not adhering to PCGS's established norms?? In closing, look at a case in point; click on my 1867 cent photo listed below, and then compare that coin with the PCGS Photograde Indian Cent example listed for Pr01 obverse and reverse....?? Awesome collection!
Amazing set Lance the cat.
The only problem with this set is you need sunglasses to protect your eyes from all the yellow on the screen.
Great job and I'm sure you will find the holes and lower graded coins as needed.
Keep up the good work.
