This coin was purchased at Allen's in the early 1990s. I purchased it for about $1 and put it away with non pvc plastic. P/V on 2/8/16 is . 011. The color is lighter brass, a little more or less with a yellow tinge. the details are sharp, the fields have some friction lines and some discoloration. A couple of spots on the reverse. Nicks are minor.

Nicely struck, and the die was decent. The planchet (coin) has a couple of bag marks, and one fly speck in the obverse field.

In order to get the color of the coin, you need to get the light at the right angle. Picture color is much darker than the actual coin. True RB, 4,4,5. No bag marks, but some deeper red toning.

The coin, sadly, is not as red as the photos show. The color is more subdued and a darker tone. Deeper red. Especially around the rim. Coin does have some aging spots. Still a nice piece.

This coin is a delightful addition, but lower graded than hoped. I had it for years in my collection, and then decided to have PCGS look at it. I was hoping for a 64, and was quite dissapointed that it came back a 53. I did not see the wear on the left wheat ear. I had compared it to a PCGS MS 63 BR at Northeast Collections, and it looked even better in the hair. P/V on 1/18/16 is 0.

This is obviously a circulation strike, and it has seen a lot of it. This is more a holder than anything else at the moment. P/V is .027 on 2/6/16.

Quite amount of detail in Lincoln's hair. Strike is above average. Portions of the coin are toning a nice purple/lavender, with a band going from the middle of Lincoln's beard through LIBERTY to the coin's edge. The reverse is also showing some of this toning in the fields. Wheat is crisp and lines are separated. P/V is .635 on 10/20/2015.

A very unique coin as there is a band going from 12 to 8 o'clock on the obverse. Eye appeal is quite attractive. The coin is a little dull, but there is still luster evident. A strictly MS coin.

Really nice strike. Toning is natural, and universal over all of coin. Otherwise, very pretty. There are some spots of a very light nature in the field above the date.

OGH. Beautiful strike, and a solid RB. There are some rainbows beginning on cheek. Rev is very clear and there are no problems other than RB. Really a pretty coin, maybe too dark to be a 65.

Other than the color, there are no problems with this coin. Brown is "metalic chocolate." Beautiful addition to collection. Original luster still peeps through. P/V is .399; there has been a steady loss on this coin, from a maximum of $310.00.

A solid 65 with minimal spotting under the wheat. Strike is solid and deep. A little orange toning on the obvs at 3 and 9 o'clock. Pleasing to look at. A fleck under the hair above the collar is a little distracting and keeps this coin for higher grade. The field has minimal staining. A few hairlines behind the head. Impressive coin. Cost and original price of the coin is accurate.

This is a rare beauty. The strike is good and all lines in wheat ears clean and clear. Portrait has a few nicks, small. The coin has some luster left, but is definitely RB. Pictures do not carry the same beauty as the eye here.

Original luster, no carbon w/o magnification. A small cut on eyebrow going north south. Attractive. A couple of scuff marks under "IN" and above the 5. Brilliant UNC color and luster. Slight oranger color in center. Field right of Lincoln has a couple of abrasion marks. One nick above ear. Rev has a brilliant surface. Some orange color comes down in through middle of coin. Beautiful to look at and admire.

Aside from the small spot (The spot looks to me to be a small piece of plastic laying on the coin) in the field on the obverse at 2 o'clock, this is a beautiful solid coin. Some bag marks in hair and face noticeable under magnification. The reverse is spot and problem free. Planchet is nice and uniform. Appears early die state. The strike is strong. 4, 5, 5.

Beautiful strike and nice color. Marks on cheekbone and temple in photo are deceiving. They appear to be abrasion marks with the one on the cheekbone more prominent. The color is a nice orange brass. There are two small nicks in the hair. Fields are good. There is a little spot near left ear of wheat. A beautiful coin with no major problems.

Purchased at.714 of current value. Not overly brilliant in color, but definitely MS. The coin has no overt problems, though there is a tiny nick in the obverse field, between the brow and the second T in TRUST. highly detailed in hair, bowtie, wheat and wheat ears. Minute nicks/bag marks on the cheekbone. Worth the extra cost. Same in value on 7/23/15

This is one fantastic coin in color and beauty. Toning rainbow-like. Strike sharp and smooth. Rev has that odd spot in the middle of the coin, and if that were not there, it would easily be a 67.

Beautiful copper color on both sides. Strike is good. A few minute carbon spots in the fields. Pleasant to look at. The obverse appears to have had the natural metal polished from 7 to 1 o'clock straight motion. It is non distracting but noticeable. It could be album friction, but I don't think so, as the relief is unaffected. A few tiny bag marks are visible on the lower shoulder. The reverse is strong, but I have seen stronger. There is one bag mark, closely resembling a tilda (˜ ) above the E in ONE. P/V on 7/9/16 is .833.

Disappointingly, this coin has some carbon spots on the face when the coin is turned away from you slanting at about 25 degrees. The picture is a true picture of the coin and color is natural. Scratches on the reverse are on the holder.

Solid strike and color, with the following exceptions: First stair on reverse is curved slightly like a tiny hill. Marks and spots are miniscule, hardly noticeable: only under magnification. Fields are toning reddish-orange. Coin is a beauty, and has above average eye appeal. Metal is for the most part polished nicely.

Magnificent color, toning with a little lavender on obs and rev. Toning gives this coin a "real" feel, meaning, a coin you would find in a roll that was UNC but really was meant to circulate. P/V on 7/9/16 is .300.

This coin is true mint state with beautiful luster. The obverse and reverse are carbon free, free of spots or streaks. A slight discoloration above the bridge of the nose can be seen. Any bag marks are inconsequential without magnification. Purchased at .769 of current value, 7/23/15.The reverse is highly attractive, with a faint swath going from the E in ONE to the fourth pillar from the right. A very small rub mark is above the T in CENT. P/V on 2/19/16 is .714. p/v is always my cost/ price.

The strike is average, and the color is better than average. There are no obvious imperfections, though there are some minute scratches in the obs. field. There is some toning starting on the obs, in a cone shape, starting out at the Y in LIBERTY, and expanding under the cheek and to the 1 in 1975.

This is a superb coin, with a great deal of detail. The portrait is distinct, with a little toning mid cheek. The fields are relatively clear, though there is a very light line mark under the 7 in 1987. The reverse has beautiful red copper color. The last stair is a little mushed, and there is in the correct light a couple of light spots underneath. A pleasureable piece to look at. P/V on 3/16/16 is 1.0.

This is a problem-free coin with attractive color. There is some very light blistering marks on the fields which give this coin a unique appearance. Stairs on the reverse are full. an attractive piece with above average eye appeal and a good strike. The MS 67 strike of the 1988 D Lincoln I have is better. Purchased at 2.5 times the current value. Fully red. Strike is first rate. Very minor imperfections, a couple of flecks. There are some faint, barely discernible, non-incuse lines on the reverse. These are parallel to each other and cover the bottom half of the coin. They may be metal stress lines, acquired from the minting process, as the metal flowed outward. P/V is .78 on 10/21/15.

These are parallel to each other and cover the bottom half of the coin. They may be metal stress lines, acquired from the minting process, as the metal flowed outward. P/V is .78 on 10/21/15.
Reverse is better of two sides. Obs. has a slight toning, but irregular. Front also has a bag mark on field. Rev is pristine, envious. All scratches are on the holder, not on the coin. P/V on 10/20/15 is 0.

A very clean coin, except for the field behind the head. The reverse is problem free. A nicer coin that the 66.

Near perfect. 5, 5, 5, though a slight spot to the right of Lincoln on the reverse. Looks like toning. Cartwheel effect.

A truly brilliant coin in color and luster. Any carbon spots are on the obverse, more like fly specks. One is under the tie, quite distracting. There are no spots on the reverse. Some grease or a weak strike occurred between the last S in STATES and on the o of of. It is not fully struck there on the coin. .923 of current price.

Very nice coin. Some toning starting at edge at 9 o'clock. Clean fields except for a small nick behind the head. The reverse under the E in E PLURIBUS UNUM has a few fly flecks and on top of the memorial. 5,4,5.

Nice coin, the picture when magnified tells all. It is interesting to see the spots on the coin under magnification, as with the naked eye these cannot be seen. P/V is 1.0 on 10/20/15.
Strong strike, planchet is solid and a nice copper color. Looks like an early die strike.

The spot in front of the chin is a little annoying, but everyone else is superb. 4, 5, 5.
Gorgeous in every way, stunning orange and brass toning. No marks of any kind. No spots of any kind unless magnified: above memorial on rev above third pillar from left and there are three very miniscule fly specks above Lincoln's crown. Perfectly clear and eye-catching, however.

This is a good coin, showing the doubling in LIBERTY and IN GOD. Color is bright, with the reverse side near UNITED showing some purple toning.

This coin has a better field than the 66. Red, and full of color.

A very solid coin. Lustrous. No noticable marks or haze or stains on obverse. Reverse under ONE is beginning to tone darker. There is a scuff mark under the U in UNITED, and does not appear to be anything but that. 5, 5, 5. Maybe a 4 on the planchet because of the beginning toning.

This is one nicely struck and fully red coin. Depth is amazing. Field is mirrored, Rev slightly cleaner than Obs. No marks or specks, with the exception of a very tiny bag mark above the I in LIBERTY. Really an attractive coin all around. A beauty!

A very solid strike and gorgeous orange and copper fields. The is one tiny nick mark on the stairs. The upper hair is not as detailed (there is that flat spot) and that is keeping this coin from a more favorable grading. Purchased at .642 of current value, 7/22/15.

A very clean coin, with absolutely a perfect reverse. There is a slight irregularity on the field, alone the rim in the field, under TRUST. A unnoticeable fly speck is under the V in VDB. Details on the hair can be seen, instead of a portion of hair that sometimes is minted flat. Purchased at 3.928 tomes the value. Maybe one day, the 8 will turn me a profit.

Practically flawless, deep strike, gorgeous color; no spots or haze. Hard to believe this coin was meant for circulation. All details are crisp and exact. The very presence of "marks" are in the metal and are natural (obs.). The photo of the coin is misleading. The photo shows that the cent is lifeless and has no color. Just the opposite is true. The color is bright and shiny. Brilliant red. Both sides.

An incredible color and strike! A light die crack on the rev near stairs going from 8 to 2 o'clock.

Beautiful strike! Details evident and clear. A little gun metal toning on shoulder. Some toning beginning over dome. A few bag marks on obverse. Cheekbone strong. High points of hair stand out. Collar shows no wear. Triangular roof above pillars discernible. Steps have improper striking, but can be discerned with a careful eye. No spot on stairs as shown in photo.

A nice specimen for the collection. Gold tone, strike average. Planchet good, devices good. Some wear.

The coin is not a yellow as the photo suggests. I'm fact, in surprised that there is yellow on the picture. The coin has no yellow, only steel gray typical of this series.
A solid strike and definitely MS. Some typical brown and black spots from 5-9o'clock on obvserse, and on edging on reverse.

Aside from the stain in the obverse at 10:30, and beneath it in the fields and in the eyebrow, and under the lettering IBE an attractive example, 3,4,4. The reverse is better. There is on the breast feathers the beginning of gold toning.

Nice coin. Typical. Some bag marks on prime focal areas keep this coin from a higher grade. Beautiful, though.

An absolute beauty! Very brilliant and solid strike. A scuff mark on back of neck, and perhaps a light finger print on back of neck. A couple of flecks on chin, but only noticeable in when light is angled. Some very light brown toning beginning on obs. Rev is just gorgeous with a little toning in the fields as well, but few. The luster is the outstanding feature of this coin.
