Eagle Type Set, Proof (1804-1915)
Ask any collector what the "caviar" of U.S. numismatics is, and you'll get two words: "Proof Gold." Talking about tough coins in a set such as this is almost meaningless, as there is no such thing as cheap Proof Gold. The Proof restrike of the 1804 is a major rarity and with only four known, is affordable only to a very few. Likewise the early 1838-1839 Covered Hair $10 Liberty is also now a seven-figure coin in Proof, so this is a set that can be completed very infrequently to say the least.
Notes: This set has bonuses. Please see the Set Composition for a listing.
