Valentine 1. LM-1. The LIKERTY variety.Very nice with a lavender-gray and gold patina. Obverse die crack from rim through 6th star to hair ribbon. Reverse die crack from rim through right side of first T in STATES through wreath to eagle's neck. Another die crack from rim through A in AMERICA through wreath to eagle's wing. A very tough coin to find nice. Purchased from Harry Laibstain Rare Coins at the 2015 FUN show.
LM-1. Die break below 00 in date. Very strong strike. Purchased from David Lawrence Coins at the 2026 ANA.
JR 6. Obverse die crack from star 1 through 179 in date. Another die crack from rim through left side of 9 in date to bust ,neck and head to star 8 and rim. Reverse die crack from rim to between S and T in STATES through wreath to top of wing to Eagle's neck. Purchased from Julian Leidman at the 1995 FUN show.
JR 2. 4 Berries. Beautiful blue and sea green toning. Purchased at the 1994 CSNS show.
Browning 2. Purchased from Jack Beymer,in an NGC F-12 slab, in September 1995. Crossed to PCGS F-12.
1806/5. Browning 1. This obverse die was used in 1805 as Browning 4. It was softened at year's end by annealing, and overdated to 1806/5. The reverse die was previously used in 1805 as Browning 4 and was later used in 1807 as Browning 1. Broken right foot of " I " and left foot of " T " in Liberty. Broken left foot of 1 in date. Broken right foot of " I " in America on reverse. Die state II with clash marks at branch, berry and top leaves. A very nice strike with the eagle's breast feathers showing. A superb Draped Bust Quarter. CAC sticker. Purchased from Harry Laibstain Rare Coins at the 2013 ANA.
Overton 118. Tompkins 24. Pointed 6 with stem. Obverse die state 2. Reverse die state 5. Great reflective surfaces with golden and blue-green toning. Reverse die crack from rim through " O " in OF through cloud and stars to eagle head. Reverse die crack from rim through arrows to shield and another from rim to arrows. Reverse die crack from rim above " N " in UNITED through TED through top two wing feathers through STAT to rim above " E ". Purchased from Pinnacle Rarities at the 2015 ANA show.
Bolender 2. BB-63. Die State I. Small Date, Small Letters. Superb surfaces. This is the scarcest of the four collectable varieties of the year. Purchased at the 1992 FUN show.
Bolender 8. BB-188. Die state 1. Ex Bowers and Merena Four Landmark Collections Auction ( the Hagle section ) of March 28, 1989, lot 1972 where it was partially described as " Prooflike. An attractive specimen of this date, which has bright and reflective surfaces. The obverse and reverse peripheries are lightly toned in pale blue and iridescent golden-brown shades". Later from the Dr. Robert Stark Collection. A beautiful Bust Dollar. Possibly at the low end of the condition census. Purchased from U.S. Coins at the 2025 FUN show.
Very nice surfaces with a reddish gold tint. Reverse die crack through ITE in UNITED. Purchased from Rarcoa at the 2026 FUN show.
