Complete U.S. Coin Design Set (1792-present) Current Finest List

We call this "The Ultimate Type Set" because it includes all of the major design types that appeared on American coins from the earliest days of the U.S. Mint until today. The classic U.S. coins (1792-1834) are the toughest to acquire (even in low grades) and they’re the most valuable in high grades. But, once you acquire those coins, it’s pretty smooth sailing.

There are some wonderful coins in this set, including unusual denominations like the Two Cent Piece and the Twenty Cent Piece. Our favorites are the Chain Cent, the Flowing Hair designs on silver coins in the late 1700’s, the diminutive Gold Dollars, and the impressive Double Eagles. What are your favorites?

The designs on our current circulating coins have been in use for so long that very few people have ever seen a Buffalo Nickel or a Walking Liberty Half Dollar – those coins were plucked out of circulation a long time ago. Thus, this is both an historic and an educational set. The designs illustrate a young lady named Liberty as she grew up, and they include the classic designs that appeared in the early 1900’s, not to mention the statesmen and presidents that became popular in the mid-to-late 1900’s.
