Basic U.S. Coin Design Set No Gold (1792-present)
This wonderful set provides a quick overview of the varied denominations and designs used on non-gold American coins. It’s an easy set to complete, and relatively inexpensive to put together, but watch out for some of those early coins in high grade. Even non-collectors will appreciate this set, especially the odd denominations like the Half Cent or Twenty-Cent piece, and the unusual, obsolete designs that many of them have never seen. In fact, this set is a great introduction to American numismatics and a great recruiting tool for new collectors. On the other hand, the difficulty in obtaining many of the coins in high grade adds a whole layer of excitement for the advanced collector.
Notes: This set has bonuses and deductions. Please see the Set Composition for a listing.
