Goldminers Heraldic Art Medals

About This Set: All of these Heraldic Art Medals are part of Robert McNamara's efforts to commemorate historical events. He learned to engrave and operated a minting press from the basement of his house in Cleveland. He also produced gold examples of several of the early designs but was shut down by the Treasury because gold bullion was not allowed to be owned by private citizens at the time.
