1814 Mint Set with Gold
Due to the sporadic nature of the mint's activities in the early years, many of the mints sets from this period are quite small. 1814 is among them as no Half Cents, Half Dimes, Quarters or Dollar coins were struck. For the copper and silver portion, only the Cent, Dime and Half Dollar were coined, and all are fairly common dates for their respective series. Only the Half Eagle was struck in Gold this year, and it is an overdate. Fortunately though, the 1814/3 is not terribly difficult for the series. Keep in mind though that the entire series is difficult, so the entry price will remain in the high four figure range for a nice circulated piece.
Notes: This set has bonuses. Please see the Set Composition for a listing.
