The 1910 Mint Set without gold is not a big set, containing only 10 pieces total. Nor is it a difficult set, with no significant rarities. Of course the top graded Barber Halves are far from cheap, but are not too far above the "type" price. Adding the gold changes the picture considerably, doubling the set from 10 to 20 pieces. Of course, the usual suspects (mintmarked Half Eagles & Eagles) are the culprit, with negligible populations and sky-high prices in the top grades.
