In 2004, the Jefferson Nickel featured two special reverses from the "Westward Journey" series that would continue through 2005. Consequently, this year's Proof Set contains 18 coins. The San Francisco mint continued to produce very high quality coinage, and PR70DC examples are plentiful with an average of from 400 to 800 pieces of each graded by PCGS.
