About This Set: Born 21 December England; married Hammond Reason Riggs (1806-1879) 22 October 1828 Belmont, Ohio, USA; died 20 October Batavia, Jefferson, Iowa, USA.

In 1808, the Capped Bust Left design introduced the previous year on the Half Dollar spread to the Cent. This resulted in a rather odd looking set, as the Half Cent still was using the older Draped Bust Right design. None of the three 1808 Copper or Silver issues is too difficult, and this transitional set would always make a nice display.
