For years, APMEX has had success selling United States Mint products sealed in protective plastic to ensure they remain in the same untouched condition as they were in when received from the U.S. Mint. PCGS is excited to partner with APMEX to launch APMEX MintDirect® Premier with PCGS FirstStrike®, a partnership that offers FirstStrike® designation long after the eligibility cutoff date.
PCGS has reviewed and confirmed the process APMEX has in place to secure coins from mints around the world and proudly stands by their products being received within 30 days of initial release and stored in a way that ensures the condition of the coins.

The PCGS First Strike program designates coins issued in the first 30 days of the Mint's release. This designation not only adds value to modern coins, but takes modern coin collecting to another level with multiple Mint releases each year.

Free Silver Collectors Club Membership
PCGS is also offering free Silver Collectors Club Memberships, valued at $69, on all submissions of sealed APMEX MintDirect Premier with PCGS FirstStrike® tubes and boxes, making it an ideal choice for beginner and advanced collectors alike.
World Mint Products
The APMEX MintDirect® Premier with PCGS FirstStrike® program began with the 2020 Silver Eagles, but has now expanded to include other popular programs from trusted mints worldwide. This partnership with PCGS brings added value to the popular MintDirect® Premier products. MintDirect® Premier products in their sealed packaging will remain eligible for the FirstStrike® designation if submitted to PCGS for grading long after new FirstStrike®-eligible coins are typically gone from the market. Previously, coins had to be stored in sealed monster boxes in secure, PCGS-approved storage locations since before the FirstStrike® deadline to qualify for this designation.
How To Submit
To take advantage of your free PCGS membership, simply follow these steps:
- Create a PCGS account.
- Fill out your free Collectors Club voucher.
- Complete a Submission Form and include the Collectors Club voucher in the shipment with sealed APMEX MintDirect Premier with PCGS FirstStrike tubes and boxes.
