1793 Flowing Hair Cent. Chain Reverse. S-1. Rarity-4. AMERI. VG-10 (PCGS).
A mostly deep steel-brown example with all devices at least partially discernible, although the date and the denomination ONE CENT are faint. Unusually smooth throughout with some very minor parallel planchet imperfections (as made) visible near the center of the obverse. Certainly an acceptable example of this popular and scarce die pairing of the United States Mint's premier large cent issue, the only one with the AMERI. presentation on the reverse.
