Noyes Die State B/B. Really a lovely piece, and just shy of full Gem Mint State quality by PCGS' standards. The surfaces are smooth and satiny with abundant luster. Toned in dominant medium brown with hints of lilac to the obverse, traces of faded mint color persist in the protected areas around many of the design elements. This piece is sharply defined in most areas, minor softness around the peripheries typical of the type and easily overlooked during viewing. With an impressive EAC grade of MS65, it is tied for CC#1 from the 1829 Newcomb-9 dies. A beautiful example that is eagerly awaiting inclusion in another advanced early copper collection.
