1848 Liberty Head Half Eagle. MS-61 (PCGS).
A beautiful golden-honey example that features lively mint luster and bold striking detail. The 1848 is one of the more frequently encountered half eagles from this decade, but in Mint State it is nothing short of rare. The currently offered coin is among the finest examples that we have offered in quite some time, and it is worthy of serious bidder consideration, as such.
