1851-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-1. VF-30 (PCGS). CAC.
Evenly patinated in honey-gold, both sides retain appreciable boldness of detail for a moderately circulated Charlotte Mint five. Despite a mintage of 49,176 pieces, the 1851-C is a median rarity in this Southern gold series alongside the 1855-C and 1859-C. Given the elusiveness of examples in the finer circulated and all Mint State grades, this problem free and fully original Choice VF coin is sure to catch the eye of astute bidders.
